In 2014, Greater Grace Church was born from a desire to spread the love and ministry of Jesus Christ. Our ministry was built on five core values: Prayer, Praise, Proclamation, Participation, and Partnership. As our ministry continues to grow and expand, our goal has evolved to address the needs of our church family, our community, and the society as a whole.
Through communion with the Holy Spirit, Pastor Griffin was given six key principles that now serve as the foundation of the Greater Grace Church ministry. In everything we as a church family do, we will strive to: Evangelize the Sinner, Equip the Saint, Exalt the Savior, Empower the Servant, Elevate the Society, and Expand the Service.
Our purpose is to give visible form to the faith and fellowship to which God has called His people. We acknowledge ourselves to be a local manifestation of the universal church through which Jesus Christ continues to minister to the world by his Holy Spirit. We seek to fulfill this calling through corporate worship services, through a program of Christian nurture by which our members may be built up in their faith and love, through proclamation of the Gospel by word and deed, and ministering through missions to human need in the name of Christ.
Our theme for 2018 is, The Year of Meaningful Ministry. The Apostle Paul writes to the church at Colosse, “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” (Colossians 3:17).
As we seek to meet the needs of the total man, we will focus on Faith, Family, Fitness, and Finance. If we are to carry out the mission and mandate of our Lord and Savior we, as children of God, must engage in ministry that makes a difference.
The mission of Greater Grace Church is to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. It is our mission to Evangelize the Sinner, Educate and Edify the Saint, and Exalt the Savior.
Greater Grace Church is to be a Christ-centered and Bible believing congregation that is committed to advancing the kingdom through authentic worship, powerful prayer, and biblical preaching. Greater Grace shall be a multi-cultural, multi-generational and family-oriented congregation that offers a vibrant and life-changing worship experience, extensive community outreach, and excellence in management and operations.
Greater Grace Church is a Bible preaching, teaching, believing church designed to evangelize to the lost and equip the saints of God for the perfecting of the ministry.
We believe that God is a Spirit and we must worship him in Spirit and in Truth. Our foundation is the word of God and we believe it to be saved, read it to be wise, practice it to be holy, and memorize it to grow.
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.
We engage therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrine; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.
We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; to abstain from the sell and use of intoxicating drinks as a beverage; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.
We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.
We moreover engage that when we remove from this place, we will as soon as possible unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s word.
